PetConnect Rescue is hosting its second annual Race to the Rescue - 5k and Fun Run in Purcellville, VA on May 19th. Volunteers are needed to support a variety of roles before, during, and after the race to ensure a fun and smooth day. To view all of our volunteer needs for the Race to the Rescue, click here.
We are looking for a handful of individuals to check-in runners, pass out their bibs and race packets, distribute T-shirts, and take any new registrations prior to the event. You are a great fit for this role if you are organized, comfortable using and navigating laptops, internet browsers, and spreadsheets to record packet pick-ups and support new runners in registering for the race. Volunteers in this role may also be asked to handle cash and/or credit card payments when processing race fees.
Volunteers are needed for the following shifts at the following locations. Note that times and locations vary depending on the shift.

Shift Details
For all registration shifts, volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and shoes, sneakers or other walking shoes are recommended.
At the Potomac River Running Store, parking is available at the Village at Leesburg Garage P or D. For volunteers serving on race day at Franklin Park, the start/finish line will be in the field across from the pool parking lot at Franklin Park.
