Note to Fosters: All dogs must have well-fitted martingale collars. **** The tight space, foot traffic, and other dogs can be stressful for your foster. Please keep all dogs leashed and avoid nose-to-nose contact with other dogs. To keep all the dogs and humans involved in our adoption events as safe as possible, please review the following: *While at the event, please focus on your foster dog. Keep a tight grip on the leash, and please stay about 4-5 feet away from the other dogs. Do NOT let the PCR dogs roughhouse with one another. *Each participating dog must be on a traditional leash of 6 feet or less. Retractable leashes are not allowed. All dogs (including pups with their 3rd shot) must wear a martingale collar during events. Please let your AC know if you need one. *Each participating dog must be assigned to a handler who is 18 or older. Handlers must not be responsible for more than one dog at the event. *If your foster dog is having a tough time adjusting to being at an event, please try to find a quiet place in the store to go for a time out. If the dog is continually barking or growling and snapping at other dogs, we may ask that you take the dog home. You can head out early if it is too much for your pup. * Please refer questions about specific applications or a dog's status with pending applications to the adoption coordinator of the dog. This also includes referring questions about medical needs, temperament, and possible best-case scenarios. As the adoption coordinator screens candidates and helps make the best match for each dog, we appreciate volunteers referring potential adopters directly to the adoption coordinator to communicate a consistent message. Please do not give out your personal information (email addresses or phone numbers) to any potential adopters or contact them about the status of a dog. This is the role of the adoption coordinator. You are welcome to share the info posted in the dog's bio, but limit it to what is stated there. With general questions, they should email our info line at info@petconnectrescue.org, or specific questions about dogs can be directed to the adoption coordinator listed on the dog’s bio.
