Overview:
The Fundraising Communications Specialist will play a key role in helping amplify the organization’s fundraising efforts. This position will help draft engaging promotional materials, create social media content, and assist with email outreach and community engagement. This volunteer will collaborate with the fundraising team to brainstorm ideas for increasing visibility and participation in fundraising campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as an active member of the Fundraising Committee, contributing to discussions and strategies related to fundraising communications. - Draft promotional materials, social media posts, and content for fundraising campaigns to inspire donor engagement.
- Assist with managing email outreach, including newsletters, donor communications, and campaign updates.
- Provide creative ideas and suggestions for increasing visibility and excitement around fundraising initiatives.
- Help track and report on the success of fundraising communications efforts.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure messaging aligns with the organization’s mission and brand guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and email marketing tools.
- Creative and able to contribute ideas for engaging donor communications. - Interest in nonprofit work, fundraising, or communications.
- Prior experience with fundraising, marketing, communications, and/or social media. - Must be willing to commit to a minimum of one year in the position.
