Overview:
The Donor Relations Assistant will support the organization’s efforts to build and maintain meaningful connections with its donors. This role focuses on assisting with donor communications, brainstorming creative engagement strategies, and contributing to stewardship activities that enhance donor retention.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting thoughtful donor acknowledgment letters and emails.
- Brainstorm and suggest innovative ways to engage and thank donors for their support.
- Support donor stewardship activities and outreach.
- Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to ensure donors feel valued and connected to the organization’s mission. - Serve as an active member of the Fundraising Committee, contributing to discussions and strategies related to partnership development.
Qualifications:
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate engagement ideas.
- Interest in nonprofit development and donor relations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience with donor relations, marketing, communications and/or fundraising. - Must be willing to commit to a minimum of one year in the position.
